2011 Tigers, Trent, and the other guys!

I have found my self watching football a little differently lately. I try not to take it too seriously. I try not to let it effect me at work and at home. I try to put it in perspective. Well to heck with all that. I love college football, and more specifically, I love the Auburn Tigers. They are having a rough year, sure we thought they'd have a down season, but I still hurt for them when they lose and if I'm being honest, I am very critical of our coaches. What I have seen this year is a bunch of young men with a sense of entitlement get their tails handed to them a few times this year. Auburn lost to a Clemson team that was on an amazing run, and is still likely to reach a BCS game. Auburn lost to Arkansas, who's only loss is to Alabama, and can quiet the critics by beating LSU at the end of the year. Auburn lost to LSU, and who after this weekend can say that LSU isnt the best team in the counrty. Sure, I know, Alabama fans still think that they are the better team, it's just that the score in the "Game of the Century" didn't agree. We'll get back to that later. Auburn has had a week off and now faces a much improved Georgia team that is trying to save it's coaches job. Auburn will have to play hard nosed phyiscall football, and forget about last season to do it. Georgia lost it's first two games of the season and have since gone on a seven game tear that have put them in the catbird seat for the SEC East. This game is in Athens, and nothing will be easy about it. Auburn can win, but we have to have some better play calling from our offensive genius, and we have to have our defense show up better than it has been all season.
Now to Trent Richardson, he is one of the most dynamic backs I have ever seen in college football. It takes a gang to takle him, and he is a beast after first contact. Trent Richardson is a legit Heisman canidate, but his lackluster performace against LSU may hurt him a little.
OK Alabama... What can be said that hasnt already been said ad nauseaum? Well not much. Just that LSU came into your house, contained your best player, made fewer mistakes that you, their coach made better decisions that yours, and they escaped with a 9-6 win. Sounds like they truly are the best team in college football. As far as playing them again. I SAY NO NO NO. You had your chance, and blew it. The next meeting would be for the BSC National Championship, and it would be unfair to LSU to face a opponent that they had already beaten with more on the line than in the first meeting. If things stay they way they are, LSU should meet Stanford or Oaklahoma State, if they lose, and as much as it pains me to say this, LSU should meet Boise State. All this is assuming that LSU runs the table.
Bama fans, all is not lost, Auburn is still in your sights, and you should beat us soundly, however we hope you are still a little punch drunk, and have focused on other things when you come into our house in late Novemeber.

Win lose or draw I will always be an Auburn fan and I will always pull for whoever is playing Alabama
